1.3.1.6.7.3 Nellie Virginia Kessler (b: Mar 1898 Jefferson, Md-d: 25 May 1967 Buckeystown, Md) was the third of nine children and second daughter of William Andrew Kessler (29 May 1869-19 Jun 1925) and Alberta Gertrude Castle Kessler (16 Oct 1875-2 Jan 1934). Her nickname was “Hillie” and she grew up during the early years of the 20th century in Frederick County, Maryland.
Nellie married Earnest P. Miss (13 Sep 1888 Buckeystown, Md-24 May 1966 Buckeystown, Md) and they had seven children:

As noted earlier, son Albert Lee Miss was killed in action during the Korean War. He enlisted on 23 Oct 1951 and was a PFC in the US Army at the time of his death. Private First Class Miss was a member of the 23rd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy in North Korea on July 22, 1952. Private First Class Miss was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat Infantryman’s Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Korean War Service Medal.
