Mabel married Charles Emory Diller (11 May 1892-20 Feb 1986) on May 9, 1923, in Feagaville, Frederick County. They had two children: Mary Lauretta Diller Cutsail (1926-2016) and Roland E. Diller (1929-2010). Mabel suffered from mental illness issues and was institutionalized in Springfield State Hospital in Carroll County in 1940. Her husband, Charles, served in the U.S Army during World War I, serving in 1918 and 1919. He was awarded the Order of St. Sava, awarded by Serbia for war contributions.
