1.3.5.1 Sarah Jane Keslar Fleigor (1803-1887)
Sarah Jane Keslar, the oldest daughter of 1.3.5 Peter Keslar (1778-1860) and Mary Schlater (1780-1853), married William Fleigor (b: 20 Sep 1800-d: 5 Dec 1862) on 22 Apr 1821. The last name has been spelled in a number of ways over the years, including Fleigor, Fligor, and Fliger. It is pronounced the same way in each instance.
Sarah and William had 10 children, many of whom remained in Westmoreland or Fayette counties, but others who migrated to Nebraska and Ohio. While William died shortly after the Civil War started, Sarah Jane lived through that period and for almost two decades afterward. At least two of their sons, David M. and Isaiah Slater Fleigor/Fligor, fought in the Civil War.
