Charles Lawrence Kessler was the youngest child of Edgar F. Kessler Sr. and Elizabeth Moore. He was born on 21 Dec 1937.
In the 1940 US Census conducted in April 1940, the family lived at 829 W. Cross Street, Baltimore City, Md. Edgar, age 40, was working as a paperhanger. Elizabeth was 32 years old, and the children were: Clara 17, Edgar Jr. 16, Margaret 13, Helen 10, Dorothy 9, George 4, and Charles 2.
Ten years later, according to the 1950 US Census conducted on May 3, Elizabeth had remarried to Richard Alte. The family lived at 1111 East Homberg, Baltimore, Md. The children living with them were Dorothy 19, George 14, and Charles Kessler 12.
Charles served in the US Navy from 2 Jul 1956 to 28 May 1958. He likely used the VA Bill to attend school.
According to my recollections, Charles was an accountant. He married Elaine (Ruth Elaine Lankford b: 15 Dec 1937) and they had one child, Mary Elizabeth (Mary Beth) Kessler (23 Jul 1958-20 Sep 2021). Mary Beth married twice, once to Leonard Myers and then to Edward Walter Reed. Mary Beth had five children with Leonard and two with Ed.

Charles and Elaine were involved in square dancing. Charles was a square dance “caller.” He moved from East Baltimore to Hillsborough, Florida. He and Elaine divorced on 8 Sep 1980.
Charles died in St. Petersburg, Florida on 31 Dec 1984.
